The Northwest 5K and Health & Wellness Fair is coming soon. It will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 8am - 11am at Northwest High School. This event is open to our entire community and we would love to see you there! 

The Health & Wellness Fair is free to attend. You do not have to run the 5k to attend the fair but if you'd like to take on the challenge, the link to register is below.  There will be vendors and giveaways plus food trucks, games, and more!

Girls' Summit, 3/9/2024

MCPS will host a Girls’ Summit on Saturday, March 9 at Northwood High School. This event for students and their parents/caregivers will offer education, resources and activities centered around young women’s health.

The event, which will be held from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., will offer workshops on healthy relationships, healthy eating and body image, and self-esteem, among others. This event is targeted to young women who are rising 6th graders through 12th grade. It will offer a chance to network, participate in fun activities, learn valuable skills and enjoy a fashion show presented by White House Black Market celebrating diverse body types. 

Student Service Learning (SSL) hours will be available. Northwood is located at 919 University Blvd. West in Silver Spring.
