Important Dates:
On October 2 your child will bring home their Outdoor Education Information Packet. Please review this packet with your child. There is so much information inside!!!
On October 2, a link will be posted for parents to volunteer to be an overnight chaperone. This link can be found in the information packet as well as in your child’s 6th Grade Google classroom. Additionally, we will post the link on the school website and through the PTSA communication channels.
If you are planning on being an overnight or daytime chaperone, you must be fingerprinted to attend. To make this process as smooth as possible, there will be a mobile fingerprinting unit present at the meeting on October 4. The cost is $20 per parent. MCPS employees, police officers and parents that have been fingerprinted in the past by MCPS will not have to be fingerprinted. If you are not able to attend on October 4 and plan to chaperone, you will have to make a private appointment with American Identity Solutions at a later date.
The links below provide some additional information regarding Outdoor Education. Please stay tuned for more information regarding your child's upcoming Outdoor Education experience!
